Kevin grew up in Iowa but made the move to Indianapolis in 2019 for school at IUPUI, and has been home ever since. During his time there, he was a member of the men’s swim team while working toward his degree —and later master’s—in biomedical engineering, an experience that taught him discipline, time management, and how to stay focused on long- term goals. 

After school, he started working as a production engineer in the diagnostics world, focusing on equipment validation and qualification. He still carries that analytical, detail-oriented mindset with him today—but realized pretty quickly that something was missing. He wanted more connection with people and the ability to directly help them through big life decisions.

Real estate really clicked when he bought his first home in 2025. He went into it as both a homeowner and an investor with a house hack, and got to experience everything firsthand—the excitement, the stress, the inspection phase, all of it. He learned a lot (some of it the hard way), but ended up loving the entire process.

Now, he’s part of the Roots team, and what he enjoys most is sitting down with people, understanding what they’re really looking for, and helping them make confident, informed decisions. Whether it’s your first home or your next investment, he wants to make sure you feel prepared every step of the way —and hopefully help you avoid some of the mistakes he had to learn through himself.

At the end of the day, he just enjoys helping people. Real estate has been a great outlet for that, and it’s something he takes seriously with every client working with.
